Acceptable Use Policy
This policy is part of the Terms of Service. It applies to what you ask Lyrra to make, what you upload, and what you do with the result.
Real artists, voices, and names
Do not use Lyrra to imitate a real person. Specifically:
- No prompts asking for a named artist’s voice, or for a song “sung by” a real performer.
- No using an artist’s name, stage name, or likeness to describe or market a song you generated.
- No cloning the voice of a private person without their consent.
- No presenting a generated song as a real performance by anyone — see the AI-disclosure rules in the Terms.
Asking for a style — a genre, a decade, an instrumentation, a mood — is fine. Asking for a person is not.
Hate, harassment, and violence
- No content attacking or demeaning people over race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, disability, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
- No harassment, threats, doxxing, or sexual content involving anyone under 18.
- No incitement to violence, self-harm, or terrorism, and no glorification of it.
- No using a song to bully, humiliate, defame, or scare a specific person, named or plainly identifiable.
Infringing lyrics and audio
- Do not ask for the lyrics of an existing song, or paste them in as your own lyrics.
- Do not attempt to recreate a specific existing recording, arrangement, or melody.
Rights holders can file a notice on the Copyright and DMCA page.
How we moderate
Prompts are checked before a generation starts, and generated material may be checked after it finishes. A prompt blocked before generation costs you nothing — no credits are spent on a generation that never ran. If something is blocked after it was generated, the credits it spent are refunded.
Decisions are made by automated filters and, when a case needs it, by a person. We keep a record of every decision and of every appeal.
Enforcement ladder
What happens depends on what was done and how often:
- Blocked prompt — the generation does not run, nothing is charged, and the account is unaffected.
- Removed song — the song is taken down, credits are refunded, and the account is warned.
- Feature restriction — repeated violations lose access to the feature that was misused, such as image uploads.
- Suspension — the account is closed to new generations while we look at it.
- Termination — for serious violations and for repeat infringement. Remaining subscription time is not refunded, and the songs go with the account.
Illegal material skips the ladder: it is removed immediately and reported where the law requires.
Appeals
Every decision can be appealed, free, from inside the product.A blocked prompt and a removed song both show an “Appeal” control; filing one takes a sentence, a person reads it, and the decision comes back by email.
If you cannot reach the in-product control — because the account is suspended, for instance — use the contact form instead.
Reporting a song
Every shared song page carries a “Report this song” link. Use it for impersonation, hate or harassment, and anything else on this page; use the DMCA form for copyright specifically, because a copyright claim is a sworn statement and the report form is not.
